EASI Weather Index

EASI Weather Index is the weighted average of the factors below. Some variables are considered as a positive influence and have been scored with a positive index while those that are considered by most to be a negative are given a negative weight. The determination of the key variables and their type of weights has been made by EASI. The variables and the weights are:

Annual Maximum Average Temperature minus Annual Minimum Average Temperature (Average Temperature)	Negative	-1
Mean Number of Days of Snow	Negative	-1
Average Annual Precipitation	Negative	-1
Average Annual Snowfall	Negative	-1

Notes:

Since weather variables are not available by ZIP Code or for most counties, EASI assigned the readings to the closest weather station.
Users can modify and create their own Weather Index by creating their own profile using only the weather variables that they like or that they think are important.
