How do we generate a Location Analysis?
EASI determines which Census Block Groups are located within the desired radius (based on each Block Group's population centers, called centroids) and then adds up the data for the Block Groups whose population centers fall within the ring.

What is the difference between the paid reports and the free reports?

• The paid reports use data updated to 1/1/2023 while the free reports use census year data from 4/1/2010
• The paid reports have 16 additional variables not found in the free reports:

What is an EASI Score?
It is a score given to a number to reflect how the concentration of that trait compares to the country as a whole. An "A" reflects a high concentration of that trait.

Can I email my report?
Yes, all users can email their reports.

What does Save Draft do when I cancel a Report Email?
When you begin to email a report and then Cancel, Save Draft will a copy of the report in your email's Draft folder for you to send later if you choose.

Why do the reports change my requested radius sometimes?
When we can't reliably find population within your radius we increase the radius until we can report reliably.

What is the best radius to use?
Neighborhood characteristics change with small increases in distance, so we set the default radius to .2 miles. If you are looking to locate a business, you might want to see the demographics from a broader area, such as miles.

Why isn't my ZIP Code found?
Most current residential ZIP Codes will be located. If your ZIP Code is not found it may be new this year and not in our database yet, too old and obsolete, or not a US ZIP Code.

Why doesn't my ZIP Code have data?
There are several reasons why a ZIP Code may not have data: it might be a business only ZIP Code, it might be a ZIP Code that doesn't have home mail deliveries, it might be a ZIP Code that is too new (in which case it will probably appear next year).

Why don't the racial populations add up to total population?
The location analyis includes the three major racial groups (White, Black, Asian) and does not include American Indian and Alaska Native, Other Race, Two or More Races, so it won't add up to Total Population. Hispanic is reported as an ethnic group and is not a racial group.

Do the reports include crime data?
No, FBI official crime data is not available at the neightborhood level. For more information go to the FBI's web site .

Does this work anywhere in the world?
The Right Move app works just in the United States of America.

What do I do if I have a problem, question, or suggestion?

How can I check my subscription status?
Sign into your account in the App and on the "Step 1" screen, click My Account. This will tell you whether you have a subscription and, if so, when it expires.

Why should I register?
If you purchase a subscription Registering is the only way to make sure that all of your linked devices have access to that subscription. Also, Registering will allow us to provide you with information about the App.

What does it mean to sign in as a Guest
Signing in as a Guest gives you full access to the App's features with 2 exceptions when you buy a subscription without registering:

• Your subscription will not be available on all of your iOS devices.
• When you want to email a report, you'll have to enter an email address. If you are registered your email will default to your registration email (which you can override if you choose).

How can I manage my account i.e. change my password or my email address?
Go to your Account Portal at https://therightmove.easidemographics.com, log into your acccount, and make the desired changes.

Do the reports include crime data?
No, FBI official crime data is not available at the neightborhood level. For more information go to the FBI's web site .

DEFINITIONS

Population
Population includes those living in a household and those living in group quarters.

Household
A household includes all the persons who occupy a housing unit. A housing unit is a house, an apartment, a mobile home, a group of rooms, or a single room that is occupied (or if vacant, is intended for occupancy) as separate living quarters.

Group Quarters
Group Quarters include facilities where people live that is not a typical household-type living arrangement such as correctional facilities, nursing homes, and mental hospitals college dormitories, military bases and ships, hotels, motels, rooming houses, group homes, missions, shelters, and flophouses.

Count of persons living in a location derived from US Census.

Population (1/1/2023)
Estimate of persons living in a location derived from EASI.Population estimates update Census year estimates by including estimates of future births, deaths, and net migration.

Population (1/1/2028)
Estimate of persons living in a location derived from EASI. Population forecasts update current year estimates by including estimates of future births, deaths, and net migration.

Households (4/1/2010)
Count of households in a location derived from US Census.

Households (1/1/2023)
Estimate of housholds in a location derived from EASI.

Population, Median Age
This measure divides the age distribution into two equal parts: one-half of the cases falling below the median value and one-half above the value. A high EASI Score (paid reports) implies an older than average Median Age.

Families
A family consists of a householder and one or more other persons living in the same household who are related to the householder by birth, marriage, or adoption. All persons in a household who are related to the householder are regarded as members of his or her family. A household can contain only one family for purposes of census tabulations. Not all households contain families since a household may comprise a group of unrelated persons or one person living alone.

Household Income, Total ($)
Includes the income of the householder and all other persons 15 years old and over in the household, whether related to the householder or not. Because many households consist of only one person, average household income is usually less than average family income.

Household Income, Median ($)
The median divides the income distribution into two equal parts, one having incomes above the median and the other having incomes below the median.

Household Income, Average ($)
This is the amount obtained by dividing the total income of a particular statistical universe by the number of units in that universe. Thus, mean household income is obtained by dividing total household income by the total number of households. For the various types of income the means are based on households having those types of income

Household Income, Per Capita ($)
"Per capita income" is the mean income computed for every man, woman, and child in a particular group. It is derived by dividing the total income of a particular group by the total population in that group.

White Population, Alone
Includes persons who indicated their race as "White" or reported entries such as Canadian, German, Italian, Lebanese, Near Easterner, Arab, or Polish.

Black Population, Alone
A person having origins in any of the Black racial groups of Africa. It includes people who indicate their race as "Black, African Am., or Negro," or provide written entries such as African American, Afro American, Kenyan, Nigerian, or Haitian.

Asian Population, Alone
A person having origins in any of the originalpeopl es of the Far East, Southeast Asia, or the Indian subcontinent including, for example, Cambodia, China, India, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Pakistan, the Philippine Islands, Thailand, and Vietnam. It includes "Asian Indian," "Chinese," "Filipino," "Korean," "Japanese," "Vietnamese," and "Other Asian."

Hispanic Population
The data on the Hispanic or Latino population were derived from answers to a question that was asked of all people. The terms "Spanish," "Hispanic origin," and "Latino" are used interchangeably. Some respondents identify with all three terms while others may identify with only one of these three specific terms. People who identify with the terms "Spanish," "Hispanic," or "Latino" are those who classify themselves in one of the specific Spanish, Hispanic, or Latino categories listed on the questionnaire. "Mexican, Mexican Am., Chicano", "Puerto Rican," or Cuban" as well as those who indicate that they are "other Spanish/Hispanic/Latino."

Housing, Units
A housing unit is a house, an apartment, a mobile home or trailer, a group of rooms or a single room occupied as separate living quarters or, if vacant, intended for occupancy as separate living quarters. Separate living quarters are those in which the occupants live and eat separately from any other persons in the building and which have direct access from outside the building or through a common hall.

Housing, Owner Occupied
A housing unit is owner occupied if the owner or co-owner lives in the unit even if it is mortgaged or not fully paid for. The owner or co-owner must live in the unit and usually is the person listed in column 1 of the questionnaire

Housing, Renter Occupied
All occupied housing units which are not owner occupied, whether they are rented for cash rent or occupied without payment of cash rent, are classified as renter occupied. "No cash rent" units are separately identified in the rent tabulations

Housing, Vacant Units
A housing unit is vacant if no one is living in it at the time of enumeration, unless its occupants are only temporarily absent.

Owner Estimated Home Value, Median
The census bureau collects information about home values. This measure is based on owner estimates of their home value, not based on current sales and comparables.

Employees, Total (by Place of Work)
All civilians 16 years old and over who were either (1) "at work"�those who did any work at all during the reference week as paid employees, worked in their own business or profession, worked on their own farm, or worked 15 hours or more as unpaid workers on a family farm or in a family business; or (2) were "with a job but not at work"�those who did not work during the reference week but had jobs or businesses from which they were temporarily absent due to illness, bad weather, industrial dispute, vacation, or other personal reasons. Excluded from the employed are persons whose only activity consisted of work around the house or unpaid volunteer work for religious, charitable, and similar organizations; also excluded are persons on active duty in the United States Armed Forces.

Singles Index (US Avg=100)
An EASI developed index based on the concentration of Singles in a location compared to the norm. (Note: This index goes from a low of 0 to a high of 200; where ‘E’ represents a concentration of singles and an ‘A’ represents a high concentration.)

Married Familes with Children Index (US Avg=100)
An EASI developed index based on concentration of Married Families with Children in a location compared to the norm. (Note: This index goes from a low of 0 to a high of 200; where ‘E’ represents a concration of families and an ‘A’ represents a family oriented area.)

Older Population Index (US Avg=100)
An EASI developed index based on the concentration of people aged 65 and above in a location compared to the norm. (Note: This index goes from a low of 0 to a high of 200; where ‘E’ represents younger area and an ‘A’ represents a more senior oriented area.)

Above Avg Education Index (US Avg=100)
An EASI developed index based on average amount of education in a location compared to the norm. (Note: This index goes from a low of 0 to a high of 200; where ‘E’ represents a low education level and an ‘A’ represents a high education level.)

EASI Total Crime Index (US Avg=100)
An EASI developed index based on demographic model of anticipated (not measured) crime in a location compared to the norm. (Note: This index goes from a low of 0 to a high of 200; where ‘E’ represents a low crime Expectation and an ‘A’ represents a high crime Expectation.)

Expensive Homes Index (US Avg=100)
An EASI developed index based on median value of home ownership in a location compared to the norm. (Note: This index goes from a low of 0 to a high of 200; where ‘E’ represents a below average value of home ownership and an ‘A’ represents a concentration of above average value of home ownership.)
